- The year it all started! The guidelines I set for myself:
- I had to do at LEAST one drawing a day to post on my Instagram account
- No need to waste time… just a quick doodle that took a minute or two (boy did that change over time)
- 100% marker, no pencil. For whatever reason I thought of pencil as cheating. This was all I used the first several months:
- If I screwed something up, too bad. I had to make the best of it which explains a lot, especially this first year. I could only start over if I really f’ed something up.
I had no idea this would turn into 2,800+ puns. It started as mindless doodles, many of which I can’t explain (“Handlebar Mustache Brow”? “Hillberg”? Really?) But a few weeks in, I drew “Trunk Show” and eventually went to making every dailing drawing pun-based. It just kind of happunned naturally.
