My first creative outlet introduced itself to me at the age of 4 or 5 when I took it upon myself to take a Magic Marker and embellish the upholstery on our family’s dining room chairs (sorry Mom and Dad). That medium changed rather quickly to markers on blank typing paper. Pretty much all I did and wanted to do was draw and listen to records. Marker on paper is still my preferred means of illustrating to this day. I like the fact that if a line ends up not going the direction I intended there’s no choice but to make the best of it.
